Theo De Marcousin joins The Flying Squirrels!



This keeps getting better! The known and talented French writer and consultant Theo De Marcousin (aka Christopher Erbes), is on board for The Flying Squirrels as co-producer and writer! The new 3D animation project by Mago Production, which is scheduled to start in the coming months, follows the adventures of four friends struggling to win an exceptional street ball championship.


De Marcousin, who currently oversees and also writes for the new 3D version of the remembered series Maya the Bee, has previously worked for Canal +, Disney, Nickelodeon and Fox Kids. He also published the books 'Oscar and Fiu' and 'Oscar and Fiu forever', along with the Oscar-winning Dutch illustrator Dudok de Wit (Father and Daughter).

The Flying Squirrels, which also has the support of ICIC and TV3, will be screening its new trailer this October in Cannes - France at the Mipcom Jr. (2-3 Oct) and MIPCOM (4-8 Oct). Mago in Cannes and Berlín!



New season starts just fine! Going on with the Magotour, in October our animated team will be at the French Riviera attending the MIPCOM JR. and MIPCOM. And in November, the German capital expects Dr.W to race for the prize in the KUKI FESTIVAL.

As Jack the Ripper would say: 'Let's go by parts'. First, from 2 to 8 October, Peter Keydel and Sara Calatayud from Mago will travel to Cannes to attend two of the most important audiovisual content markets in the world: MIPCOM JR. and MIPCOM. They will be in the booth of Catalan Films & TV - R32.25 featuring among other news the latest trailer for The Flying Squirrels, the extraordinary animation series that is revving up to start production on the next months.

Then in November, Muyi Neira, director and creator of Dr.W -as well as The Flying Squirrels - will travel to Berlin invited to present 'Global warming: The roasted consequence', amusing and instructive episode of the series selected to compete in the category "Film naturally - The nature and enviroment program" at the 3rd International Short Film Festival for Children and Youth: KUKI FESTIVAL. For this edition, part of the 26th International Short Film Festival Interfilm, there were about 550 jobs worldwide, amongwhich 50 were selected for the official competition that will be held from 14 to 21 November 2010.

Mago at the MIP!



With a suitcase full of projects, highlighting our 3D animated series 'Dr.W' and 'The Flying Squirrels' as well as our latest audiovisual works 'Mutism' (documentary) and '92' (fiction shortfilm) among others, Mago Production  is today on its way to Cannes to attend to MIPJUNIOR and MIPCOM, both events part of the the most important worldwide audiovisual content trade fair that will run until Oct. 8 at the Palais dels Festivals located in the heart of the renowned French city.
