Magoproduction in New York.

The most important annual event in the children's entertainment industry has already begun andMagoproduction is there. The Kidscreen 2012 is happening in New York and has received more than 1500delegates from 43 countries linked to the sector. The goal? To have a critical debate on issues that are affecting the industry, connect companies around the world on common projects, learn about innovation and understand the creative needs of the moment. Peter Keydel has traveled to the Big Apple with The FlyingSquirrels and the beloved Dr.W in the suitcase, two series that summarize the spirit of our team and that foretell a future full of emotions.

We are working on the second season of Dr.W! The office, now a battlefield, is operated by the creative team: a movement of tables, computers, papers and the desire to clean the halls of Magoproduction´s collapse. The production stage is here.

Now it's time to plan order the equipment, divide tasks and especially ORGANIZE IDEAS!

Week after week, we will present advances that makes us with a smile,work on something soo nice.

We talked to Sara Baras and Laura García Lorca.

Laura García Lorca

The Magoproduction and MonkeyHeadFilms team traveled to Cadiz to meet Sara Baras and Laura García Lorca,two women firmly present in the life of Chavela Vargas. The flamenco dancer welcomed us into her house, where we talked about her relationship with the protagonist of the documentary and the importance of the Granada´s poet theatre play Mariana Pineda in that link. To our surprise, Sara invited us to the rehearsal of "La Pepa", a project designed to celebrate the Bicentennial of the Constitution of 1812, which also means the return of the artist on stage. We really appreciate the confidence of his manager and his sister, Bibi and Tricky.
The second part of the trip was just as exciting: we visited the Huerta de San Vicente, Lorca's summer housewhere he wrote his major works, a place that keeps the poet's mind intact. There, we had a touching conversationwith his great-niece, Laura, the director of Fundacion Lorca and Chavela's close friend .

 as the journey to the south, confirm that we

 are facing a unique historical document in

 which the relationship betweentalent,

 creative sensitivity and love give meaning to the plot.

The 3rd Super8 Exhibition of Barcelona

The 3rd Super8 Exhibition of Barcelona has chosen in its program the short film of Vanvelvet, Fish-Net. In a sunny afternoon, a lovely blonde girl is sitting outside her house, reading the book Little Women.  Across the road, a beautiful young lady is passing by on her bike; she gets distracted for a second and takes a look at the blonde girl. In that very moment the bike’s wheel hits a stick: she flies off the bike, crashing to the ground. The lovely blonde girl, who sees this scene from her spot, runs to help her. But a turning point will reveal that not everything is what it seems…

VENID A LAS CLOACAS ON TV

 

The documentary "Venid a las Cloacas: la historia de La Banda Trapera del Río", directed by Daniel Arasanz, will be part of the next Sputnik TV Show, the reference of the music program in Spain. The history of the music band of Cornellà de Llobregat has a space in the public television, the real rebellion, the most fearsome pimps and the honesty of his participants have made a key moment in the music of this country. "Venid a las Cloacas" is a documentary that helps to understand the role of this group of foul-mouthed. Watch it and you know why they won the Musical documentary Festival In-Edit 2010. On Sunday, Channel 33 of TV3 will broadcast a reduced version of 56 minutes, also available in streaming for a week.
